HS2 environment tenders open for phase two

Consultancies have been invited to tender for environmental and engineering contracts for the high-speed rail line

Several UK consultancies have been invited to tender for environmental and engineering contracts for phase two of the high-speed railway between London and the north of England.

HS2 Ltd, the government-backed company tasked with building the controversial line, has invited Arup, Atkins, Halcrow, Mott MacDonald and Temple-RSK JV to tender for environmental service contracts.

The contracts will be awarded following transport secretary Justine Greening’s announcement of the preferred route for phase 2 this autumn.
