Community energy growing but needs boost

Proponents of community-owned renewables are calling for the government to provide further incentives so they deliver a significant chunk of the UK’s renewables target.

More than 1,700 community-owned renewable projects, totalling 23 megawatts peak capacity, are currently claiming support under the feed-in tariffs (FITs).
