Work on ten regional waste strategies for England and Wales will begin in earnest now that the Environment Agency has published its strategic waste assessments. 1 One hot topic will be regional self-sufficiency - and the new reports reveal that huge tonnages of waste from business are being transferred between regions. The reports also deliver the first official projections of the number of municipal incinerators that each region may require.
