Pollution prevented from Leominster fire
Firefighters’ response to a fire at a Herefordshire packaging manufacturer has prevented potentially catastrophic river pollution. Firewater containment and a foam system free of the toxic chemical perfluorooctane sulphonate (PFOS) reduced the risk to ground and surface waters.
