LAPC guidance make-over

The Environment Agency has made stylistic changes to the guidance documents for some 40 industrial processes regulated under the local air pollution control regime.1 The changes are aimed at presenting the information using a new uniform template design.

Some notes have changed a little more than others. The guidance for di-isocyanate processes includes a new description based on the broader definition of the activity in the pollution prevention and control regulations. The change may have the effect of capturing other types of di-isocyanate that previously did not fall under LAPC. Information on the best available techniques which operators should use to control releases has not changed.
