The application fee per component for a permit under Part A of the regulations will be £3,525 with a subsistence fee of £1,150 per year. Charges for Part B applications will be £1,425 with a subsistence fee of £875 per year.
Although there is no exemption allowed for Part A operations with "trivial" emissions, some companies may apply for a low-impact installation permit, which attracts a £2,000 application fee and £350 a yearly subsistence fee.
Intensive farms will benefit from reduced fees if the operator applies for a standard farming permit. Smaller intensive pig and poultry farms will be charged £2,000 for an application and £950 for subsistence. The normal fee would be twice this amount.
