Beckett emphasises the limits to corporate social responsibility

Environment Secretary Margaret Beckett set out her thoughts on the role of the corporate sector in achieving sustainable development in a wide-ranging speech in February. Promising a new UK strategy on sustainable consumption and production, she also emphasised the limits to what could be expected from voluntary action, and talked up the role of government.
