Chemicals experts open up to public scrutiny

The Government's Advisory Committee on Hazardous Substances threw open its doors to the general public for the first time at its February meeting. The meeting heard presentations from various chemical industry groups, debated "criteria of concern", and received a consultant's report on how to measure progress in reducing the risks posed by hazardous chemicals.
