Liability for economic losses from oil pollution

The Court of Appeal has upheld last year's decision by the High Court to reject claims by a fish processing company for financial losses arising from marine oil pollution. The judgments provide important principles on the limitation of claims that can be made, and are in line with a similar ruling made in 1998 by the Scottish Inner House in the Landcatch case.
