Welsh Water fined for beach pollution
Welsh Water has been ordered to pay £5,000 with costs of £1,851 after polluting a Pembrokeshire stream that crossed a blue flag bathing beach. The company pleaded guilty to causing sewage effluent to enter the Colby stream at Amroth, contrary to section 85(3) of the Water Resources Act 1991, before Tenby magistrates on 13 February.
