DEFRA prescribes guidance to councils and companies new to IPPC

Companies in the glass, ferrous metals and particleboard sectors will have to get to grips with tightening emission limits and a range of new environmental issues such as water consumption, according to new guidance issued under the integrated pollution prevention and control (IPPC) regime.1 Some firms are concerned that guidance is too prescriptive.
