Boots removes bisphenol A from food jar lids

Boots has become the latest member of a small band of retailers to have produced strategies for managing the health, environmental and reputational risks posed by chemicals in products. The strategy includes plans to phase out the use of lacquers containing bisphenol A in food jar lids and to encourage suppliers to seek alternatives to phthalates.
