Road charging essential to curb CO<SUB>2</SUB> and congestion, MPs warn

Alarming increases in carbon dioxide emissions and congestion are inevitable unless the Government introduces road charging on the motorway and trunk road network, according to the House of Commons Transport Committee.1 Its findings add to concerns that the Department for Transport (DfT) is undermining the Government's efforts to reduce CO2 emissions.
