Treasury accused of putting more hoops in way of green taxes

The Treasury's strategic tax reform in favour of environmental "goods" is in danger of stalling, according to a report by the House of Commons Environmental Audit Committee.1 As well as criticising recent green tax initiatives, the report warns that the Treasury's strategy and emphasis on monetary valuation are placing more and more barriers in the way of new environmental taxes.
