UK energy research 'pitiful', say MPs
The Government's energy research and development programme has been slammed as "fragmented and directionless" by the House of Commons Science and Technology Committee.1 It wants funding to be stepped up significantly and efforts focused on offshore renewables and, controversially, nuclear fission and fusion.
