Corus closure raises spectre of IPPC site clean-up requirements

Corus' Stocksbridge works looks set to become one of the first major industrial sites to face permit surrender and clean-up requirements under the integrated pollution prevention and control (IPPC) regime. It may provide a test case for the Environment Agency's approach in assessing whether any further contamination has been caused under IPPC.
