Advisers call for greater clarity in nuclear regulation
Greater clarity is needed in the regulation of nuclear sites to resolve tensions between safety and environmental controls, according to a report for the Heath and Safety Commission.
The report was produced jointly by the Nuclear Safety Advisory Committee and the Radioactive Waste Management Advisory Committee. It reviews the legislation, principles and regulatory policy and practices affecting nuclear sites.
