Queen's eco-award endorses use of potent greenhouse gas
Speciality chemicals company Uniqema has received the prestigious Queen's Award for sustainable development for a refrigeration lubricant used in conjunction with HFCs - which are potent greenhouse gases. The award appears to contradict the Government's own guidance that the use of HFCs is unsustainable and should be avoided where practicable.
