DEFRA bites bullet on mercury emissions from crematoria
After a three-year hold-up, the Environment Department is consulting on controls on mercury emissions from crematoria regulated under the local air pollution control (LAPC) regime.1 It suggests that some 15% of crematoria may be unable to meet the new standards and will have to close.1 Mercury emissions from crematoria.
