Dust leak leads to enforcement action at Rugby Cement

The Environment Agency has issued an enforcement notice to Rugby Cement after an unauthorised release of chalk dust which affected local residents in Rugby on 11 February. The leak was caused by a failure of dust collection equipment. The notice requires the firm to review written instructions for all dust handling equipment and retrain staff who operate it.
