Composting sector challenged by bioaerosol and health review

Important recommendations for protecting the health of workers and nearby residents from the hazards posed by bioaerosol emissions from waste composting sites have been made in a study for the Health and Safety Executive.1 The indications are that composting is about to become more expensive - and that the industry needs to invest in environmental research to safeguard its future.
