B&Q raises the bar on chemicals

As part of its developing chemicals strategy, B&Q plans to require its suppliers to inform it of the presence of "priority" chemicals in their products when supplying a new product. The retailer is also taking part in a joint initiative by the British Retail Consortium and Chemical Industries Association to improve understanding between the two sectors.
