Evidence mounts on flame retardants in breast milk and food

Contamination of UK butter with brominated flame retardants was the highest among 22 countries, according to a survey which points to a need for an intensification of research. The work coincides with evidence of flame retardant levels in North American breast milk ten times higher than reported in Sweden.
