Agency seeks ruling on financial provisions for defunct waste site
The Environment Agency has applied for a High Court ruling to determine whether it can use £375,000 set aside in financial provisions by a landfill business which went into liquidation in December. The landfill, which took municipal waste from Bradford and is unpopular with local residents, has yet to be properly capped or restored.
