Rail company fined £24,000 over sewage
Rail freight company English, Welsh and Scottish Railways (EWS) has been fined £24,000 on three charges of polluting the Grand Union Canal with sewage. The company admitted the offences at Brentford magistrates court on 18 January and asked for a fourth offence to be taken into account.
