Chemicals Forum defers decisions on hazardous products

The Chemicals Stakeholder Forum has delayed taking its first steps to reduce the environmental risks posed by two groups of industrial chemicals - nonyl phenols and medium chain chlorinated paraffins (MCCPs). The move means that it will not meet the schedule set in the Government's chemicals strategy, undermining the goal of taking rapid action to reduce chemical risks by persuading industry to take voluntary measures.
