Evidence mounts on brominated flame retardant pollution

Computer technicians are highly exposed to brominated flame retardants, according to a recent Swedish study.1 Researchers from Lund University Hospital found that levels of several brominated diphenyl ether (BDE) congeners including deca-BDE were five times higher in computer technicians than in other occupational groups such as cleaners and office clerks.
