Oil industry floats options for drill cuttings legacy

The UK offshore oil industry has come up with a range of options - many of which could cost billions of pounds - for dealing with the millions of tonnes of drill cuttings lying beneath its platforms in the North Sea. The proposals stem from a three-year consultation with stakeholders, although the process struggled to achieve consensus on the best way forward.
