COMAH amendments to affect 200 sites in UK

Around 200 industrial sites in the UK will be affected by proposals to amend the EU "Seveso" Directive on control of major accident hazards (COMAH). The UK is seeking to reduce the impact of the amendments by pressing for higher thresholds for sites handling carcinogenic chemicals.
