Pepsi's u-turn on recycled plastic

Pepsi-Cola has announced that it will use 10% recycled PET in its plastic drinks bottles. This follows a similar move by rivals Coca-Cola last year. Both have come under growing pressure from environmental groups in the US to increase the recycled content of their plastic bottles. At the time, Pepsi said it had no plans to use recyclate (ENDS Report 317, p 27 ).
