Scottish sustainability indicators get critical reception

The Scottish Executive has finally published its first set of sustainable development indicators.1 More than half have no accompanying targets, and have been criticised for inadequate ambition and coverage. Meanwhile, the Welsh Assembly has become the first UK administration to publish an ecological footprint indicator - though Scotland is set to follow.
