Scottish sludge-to-land "in jeopardy"

Research funded by the Scottish Executive has concluded that limits on metals in soils contained in draft European Commission proposals to revise the EU Directive on sewage sludge in agriculture will reduce the area of Scottish farmland available for sludge spreading by 50%.1
