Grundon shaken by £65,000 fine for deliberate discharge

The UK's largest privately owned waste company, Grundon, and its chairman Norman Grundon were each fined in May for the deliberate discharge of fetid, stagnant water - in contravention of Environment Agency advice. Despite the direct involvement of the company chairman, the Agency has concluded that Grundon remains "fit and proper" to hold a waste management licence.
