Rochdale dyeing firm fined for bleach pollution

Rochdale textile dyer PW Green-halgh was ordered to pay over £17,000 on 8 May after admitting losing some 11 tonnes of bleach through a burst pipe. Some of the spillage entered a nearby stream and killed 30 trout and hundreds of invertebrates.
