First off-the-shelf IPPC permits for poultry farms

The Environment Agency has issued the first integrated pollution prevention and control (IPPC) permits for two intensive poultry units. The standardised approach has saved each company almost £10,000 on the application fee alone. One of the applications has attracted some criticism from the local health authority.
