DWI looks out for the next crypto

No significant outbreaks of cryptosporidiosis linked to water supplies have occurred in England and Wales since monitoring duties were imposed on water companies two years ago, according to the Drinking Water Inspectorate (DWI). Its research programme is now scanning the horizon for future microbiological threats such as mycobacteria, Microsporidia and Cyclospora.
