Incineration businesses boycott IWM as Greenpeace takes the stage

The waste industry took steps to establish a dialogue with Greenpeace in June when the Institute of Wastes Management invited the organisation to address its annual conference. But Onyx and Sita - the leading incinerator developers - withdrew from the event. A senior Onyx executive labelled Greenpeace the "al-Qaida of the environmental industry".
