Competitors shun Co-op's ethical stance

The Co-operative Bank is attributing a fifth of its pre-tax profits to its ethical policy under which some customers are being denied banking. But competitors feel little pressure from customers on environmental issues and prefer to work with industry to reduce environmental risks.
