Northern Ireland catches up with Bills on air quality, IPPC

Two long overdue Bills to begin implementation of the EU Directives on air quality and integrated pollution prevention and control were introduced in the Northern Ireland Assembly in June. A third Bill will create powers for the Executive to require environmental impact assessments for projects outside the scope of EU rules.
