Government sets out thinking on EU chemicals policy reform

Fresh details of the Government's stance on impending legislation to reform the EU's chemicals policy emerged in Parliament during June - with its ideas on "post-marketing surveillance" of more hazardous substances forming a new contribution to the debate. However, the Government is pessimistic about the prospects of the reform being completed to anything like the timetable originally envisaged by the European Commission.
