Caird fined £13,000 for bromine leak

Caird Environmental was fined £13,000 in May for an incident in which bromine fumes from chemical waste affected workers at an adjacent site. In five court appearances over the past four years, the company has been fined almost £70,000 for offences committed before it was taken over by Shanks in 1999.
