Retailers forced to act over dioxins in fish oils

Over a third of fish oil supplements tested in a survey by the Food Standards Agency contained dioxins in excess of new EU food safety limits, forcing retailers to find less contaminated oils.1 A separate study suggests that consumers are being exposed to high levels of a variety of industrial contaminants through farmed fish.2
