Enforcement action

Waste company Rhodia Eco Services received an enforcement notice from the Environment Agency on 24 June after it released an unknown quantity of mercury into the river Rother. The leak occurred from the mercury recovery plant at its Staveley works near Chesterfield on 18 June.
