New demands in Scotland for ban on land spreading of abattoir waste

The Scottish Executive has again been taken to task for its slowness in introducing new controls on spreading of wastes on land. The Scottish Parliament's Environment Committee, backed by the Scottish Environment Protection Agency, have responded to further incidents caused by land spreading of blood by urging an immediate ban on the practice.
