Enforcement go-slow over CHIP3

An overhaul of the regulations governing the classification and labelling of dangerous chemicals came into force in Britain on 24 July.1 The Health and Safety Commission is seeking to minimise the costs to business of late transposition of four EU Directives by promising no action against firms whose labels and safety data sheets do not comply with the new rules for an unspecified transitional period.
