French generators enjoy boost from UK climate levy

Over a quarter of the renewable electricity exempted from the climate change levy last year was imported from existing sources in France and Belgium, according to official figures. Meanwhile, the Government has quietly modified its long-standing 2010 target for renewable energy to allow heavy reliance on imports.
