Commission proposes long-awaited ban on NPE uses

An EU Directive proposing a ban on the marketing and use of nonyl phenol and its ethoxylate (NP/NPE) in a range of industrial and consumer applications was proposed by the European Commission in August.1 The Directive would also limit levels of hexavalent chromium in cement.
