Scotland looks to 40% renewables target

The Scottish Executive has proposed that as much as 40% of Scotland's electricity could be generated from renewable sources by 2020.1 The Executive wants the cost of the necessary strategic grid enforcement to be shared by customers across Britain - but it avoids the question of new nuclear capacity.
