Blue Circle trials sewage sludge fuel in Northumbrian deal

Cement company Blue Circle is to trial the burning of dried sewage sludge pellets at its Cauldon works in Staffordshire. The company claims the process change will reduce environmental impacts, although it does not appear to have taken account of the impacts of transporting sewage sludge 200 miles from Teesside.
