Fridge crisis recedes as recycling plants come on stream
Capacity to process almost two million fridges per year is now up and running in the UK, and further projects are in the pipeline, an ENDS survey has found. The stockpile of old fridges should be cleared by mid-2003 - but there may be significant overcapacity in the near future.
